word/move is the first collaboration between long-time Bay Area dancer Diane McKallip and recent transplant Ryan Hill.

Diane McKallip is an Oakland based dancer, performer, and teacher. She was a co-founder of Performance Alliance and produced over a decade of both low tech and formal dance/performance events. Performance Alliance’s “Works in the Works” series is one of the Bay Area’s longest running low- tech performance opportunities.
Diane dances with Nancy Karp & Dancers, as well as other Bay Area dance companies. She owns and instructs at Integrated Pilates and Wellness in Oakland and also teaches at Shawl Anderson Dance Center in Berkeley.
Ryan Hill is an ensemble theatre artist, playwright and recent Bay Area transplant. He is the founding Artistic Director of Sandbox Theatre in Minneapolis, where he has produced, directed designed and performed in dozens of ensemble-created new work. His work has been seen on stages in Berlin, New York, Beijing, Minnesota and most recently – Berkeley.
