Sabrina Pinell began dancing at the age of twelve, studying at the Shawl-Anderson Dance Company where she excelled at both dance and choreography. She later joined the Harambee Pan-African Dance Ensemble performing from 1992 – 1997. She has performed with Grupo de Capoeira, Fogo Na Roupa, Carnavelsco, and most recently with Aqui e Agora from 2008 – 2012.
Sabrina enjoys the inseparable marriage between song, music and dance that interweave to form a beautiful union. She was introduced to song and music by her grandfather, a self-taught guitarist. When Sabrina is not dancing you can find her reading, cycling or exploring the outdoors. Sabrina feels that “dance is one of the most beautiful forms of communication.”
