Monnie Reba Efross is a poet, doula trainer, birth activist and former SF General Birth Center nurse. She has been participating in Kim Rosens Poetry Depths Mystery School for the past 2 years and has been dancing most of her life. Monnie Reba is excited to have this opportunity to explore how her poetic voice can interweave with the “voice” of a dancer.
Elissa S. Lee finds her roots in the heart of Texas, and spent her teenage years in Taiwan before coming to study psychology, dance, and disability studies at UC Berkeley. She first learned to walk on her toes and has never stopped moving since; she loves words and dance and art and people. Her experiences on two sides of the world have taught her the significance of dance as a means of collaboration, self expression, and community building.
